We need volunteers on Saturday, October 26th to help us with various projects at our new 10-acre animal shelter campus in Cumming, GA! The event will run from 9am to 3pm.

We will be constructing a pergola to provide shade and a beautiful backdrop for future events. We also need help with landscaping projects around the property, including cutting and moving bamboo, picking up garbage, trimming, weeding and more.

Frequently asked questions

How old do I have to be to volunteer?

Furkids welcomes children of all ages to volunteer in various roles. If you are under 16, you will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian each time.

Whom do I contact if I cannot keep my scheduled volunteer commitment?

We appreciate as much notice as possible. Please call the shelter number or email our Volunteer Manager at volunteer@furkids.org.

How do I schedule my volunteer time?

If volunteering at our shelter, our Volunteer Manager will be responsible for confirming your place on the schedule. If volunteering at an adoption center in one of our PetSmart or Petco locations, your time will be coordinated by the volunteer adoption center manager for that particular location.

My group wants to volunteer. Whom do I contact?

Furkids provides a great opportunity for large groups. Please contact our Volunteer Manager at volunteer@furkids.org and she will explain the volunteer options and schedule your visit.
